Busch Grove Community Park - Spray 'N Play
Fee: $10 per person ($5 for children under 10) or $30 per family

Celebrate summer’s last hoorah and welcome fall in all its splendor by joining the Friends of the Parks Foundation for some bicycling fun.

The Bike The Grove event offers 2 unique ride options to enjoy the natural beauty of Buffalo Grove and neighboring communities while on 2 wheels.

The first ride option, Pedal The Parks, offers a great opportunity for families to engage in a healthy activity together with a 4 mile route that will lead bicyclists at a leisurely pace through the paved trail system in the parks of Buffalo Grove. Bicyclists of all ages will enjoy the recreation pace of this ride which will begin with bicycle-related activities and make a few stops at points of interest along the route for special activities.

The second ride option, Tour The Trails, is a slightly more aggressive ride that will take bicyclists on an 11-13 mile ride along the paved paths of Buffalo Grove and the limestone path through Buffalo Creek. Although recreational in nature, and due to the terrain at Buffalo Creek, this ride is recommended for experienced bicyclists 10 years and older. No training wheels or carriers are allowed.

Riders will return to enjoy hotdogs from Dorfler’s Meat Market and frozen custard from Culver’s.

The ride will depart from and return to Busch Grove Community Park near the Spray ‘N Play, located at 951 McHenry Road. Those driving to the event should park in that lot. Register in advance after August 3 at the Buffalo Grove Park District. All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Parks Foundation.
