Check back in January for more information.

Come celebrate Earth Day with the Buffalo Grove Park District! Have you ever wondered why animals eat the things they do? Some eat plants, while others (even humans) eat insects! Join "The Bug Lady,” Theresa Greinig, and walk through 4.5 billion years of geologic time as we learn about local insects and how they have survived longer than the dinosaurs. We'll brush up on our geography as we begin to understand the nutritional value of insects as a food group utilized around the globe. As a result, we will dispel many myths and dismiss many stereotypes about the intriguing world of insects and the people who enjoy them. This is a program that will awaken not only your mind, but your taste buds as well. All ages welcome, but the content is most appropriate for ages 8 and up.
