Master Plan

The Buffalo Grove Park District wants your input on the future development of Willow Stream Park and Mike Rylko Community Park. These are 2 of the largest parks in our system, have many of our facilities, and tend to be extremely busy. Therefore, they need our constant attention for maintenance. In addition, we are always on the look out to improve those parks to better serve you.

Below are links that show the proposed master plans for these parks. You will probably find that the parks looks much like they are right now. Though they are quite similar, there are changes.

At Mike Rylko Community Park, plans include a concessions shelter for the softball fields, a small nature center near the skate park, skate park renovation, creating some nature trails and building overlooks for the wet lands areas and more.

At Willow Stream Park, there are new parking lot configurations for safety and efficiency, moving amenities to different areas to group them for like age groups, construction of a band shelter with concessions and bathrooms, and more.
