The Buffalo Grove Park District offers a variety of exciting camps that will allow your child to have a great summer!

Cycle
& Surf Camp
(Grades 5 - 7)
What a unique way to spend the
summer! This camp emphasizes
swimming and biking with daily sports
and games. Field trips will round
out the week. All campers need to
have a bike in good working condition
and a bike helmet. (LB)

Outdoor Survivor Camp (Grades 1 -
3 & 4 - 6)
Take a walk on the wild side and try our
survivor camp. If you like the great outdoors and love challenges, then this camp is what you are looking for! Campers will learn hiking skills, fishing techniques, boating, rappelling, cooking for the outdoors, nature related crafts, knots, and necessary outdoor camping survival skills.
Weekly field trips are also a highlight

Adventure Camp (Grades 1 - 2 & 3 - 4)
Back by popular demand, is our five-day a week camp. A wide variety of activities are offered and centered around a weekly theme. In addition, there are
two field trips and swimming four time per week. Two of these days are swim lessons and two days is open swim. Campers need to bring a lunch and beverage daily. On swim days campers need to bring a swim suit and towel all clearly labeled.
This is a well rounded camp program designed for specific age groups and guaranteed lots of fun and excitement! (LB)

Kinder Kamp (Kindergarten)
Here's an exciting opportunity for campers who are entering Kindergarten in the Fall
2007, to participate 2, 3 or 5 days per
week. This camp offers swim lessons,
once a week (and swim lessons twice a
week for those in the 5-day session),
arts and crafts, games and songs,
outside play and special events.
One bus field trip is also a highlight
of this camp. Campers need to
bring a lunch and beverage daily, and on
swim days a swimsuit and towel, all

Dance Camp
(Grade 1 - 3)
Attention Dancers! Dance camp is
designed for those who have at least one
year of dance training and will offer
quality instruction in ballet, tap,
jazz, poms and hip-hop. Other
highlights include swimming, field
trips, dance related arts and crafts and
much more. Campers will be
separated into small groups based on
age/grade level.
Fee
includes instruction in a variety of
dance forms, master classes, swim cost,
field trip tickets, field trip
transportation, arts and crafts
projects, camp group photo, t-shirt and
back pack. Each dancer is
responsible for securing tap and jazz
shoes. Participants must bring a
sack lunch and water bottle daily.
We have no access to
refrigeration. Campers must also
bring a swimsuit, sunscreen and towel on
swim days, which will occur once a
week.
Tuesday, June 12 is the Dance Camp Meet
and Greet. This is a great way to
meet your counselors and other campers
and get an overview of the
program. A detailed informational
letter will be sent out in
May.

Sports Camp
(Girl's Grades 3-5 and 6-8) & (Boy's
Grades 3-4 and 5-7)
Sports, sports, and more sports! Every day of Sports Camp is fun and exciting. Covered in this camp will be activities ranging
from Softball, Kickball, Capture the Flag, Floor Hockey, Basketball and many more. We will also take several field trips for bowling, waterparks, entertainment centers and professional baseball games. It is a full day of fun and friends. Each camper will receive 2 t-shirts for each session they attend. Campers must provide their own lunch and drink.

Grasshoppers Camp (Ages 3 Year olds)
A summer camp in a preschool setting perfect for 3 year olds! One teacher and
two assistants with a maximum of 16 campers will give children a sense of security and comfort while they are having fun and learning about the world around them. A 'typical' day will include an art activity and free play mixed in with songs, finger plays and stories. We will also make (and eat!) our snack and play outside (parachute, playground, games, etc.). Grove (Grades
3-4 & Grades 5-6)
This full day camp for children entering
3 thru 6th grade is one of the greatest camp programs the park district has to offer! Both session consist of activities including structured games, arts and crafts, weekly field trips
(2 weekly field trips for 5th and 6th
graders) and more. Special interest groups add another dimension to your child's camp experience.
Campers in grades 3 and 4 will receive
swim lessons 2 days per week and all
campers will have open swim everyday. Campers need to bring a lunch, beverage, swimsuit, and towel daily, all clearly labeled.

Sunshine Explorers (Ages 4 - 5)
This camp provides, a low key, non-competitive, yet structured atmosphere. Camp activities will include: arts and crafts, games, songs, stories, outdoor water play, and special events.
This fun filled camp offers many fun
experiences 5 days a week.
Children must be toilet trained by the

Travelin Teens
(Grades 7 - 8)
Are you ready for some road trips? Are you ready for some fun? Then this camp is for you! The active camp is open for all teens entering the 7th and 8th grades. Travelin' Teens offers a wide variety of four trips per week, swimming, sports, team building, special events and much more! Teens are welcome to enroll in first and second sessions of camp. (LB)

Small Wonders (Ages 4 - 5)
Small Wonders is designed for preschoolers ages 4 to 5. This camp offers
opportunities for socialization, special events, structured playtime, crafts, singing, and lots of fun!
You may register for Monday, Wednesday
and Friday or Tuesday and Thursday, but
not both. All children must be toilet trained before the first day of camp.
